Kang Yatse range is located at the end of the Markha valley in the Himalayas in the Ladakh region of northwest India. It is located in the Hemis National Park.
Kang Yatse 2 is standing at the height of 6250 m and the best month to submit is from June to September.
We started the expedition in mid August, 2022. It was self organised and alpine based trekking was done where one has to carry all the food, water, tent and and equipment by oneself.
We were only two of us and trekked from Chogdo Village which has the toughest climb to Kongmaru La pass with an altitude of 5100m above the sea level.
Normally trekkers take Markha Valley to the Kang Yatse. Markha Valley has longer route and the views are amazing.
