HOW TO MAKE A WATERPROOF SIREN SEASHELL NECKLACE ♥
Do you want to be a Mermaid for Halloween but don’t want to buy a cheaply made party store costume? Wonderful! But don’t tell me that you’re planning on being Disney’s “The Little Mermaid” again, are you!? No? GOOD! Because Mermaid Princesses are TOTALLY overrated. Let’s turn you into a Gothic Mermaid! Or better yet? Let’s be sirens! This waterproof seashell necklace tutorial was designed by me, Mermaid Phantom. I’ve never watched the “Siren” TV series before, but have been a Goth forever and a Professional Merm since 2016. I’ve swam in my necklace just like this one countless times and it always gets compliments. Actually, the reason I made this tutorial was because you, my lovely subscribers, have asked me to share with you how to make a swimmable Gothic Mermaid necklace just like mine. ♥ I wear my sinister shell necklace in the freshwater lakes of Northern Michigan and don’t typically go in saltwater or chlorine with it because I don’t like saltwater or chlorine! Bwahaha! But you’re more than welcome to wear your necklace in chlorinated waters and in the ocean. This will likely be a little more harsh on the hemp fibers of your necklace and may cause the colors of the pearls and gems to fade a bit over time. However… your shell, the E6000 Glue and the epicly indestructible Martha Stewart Craft Paint will hold up just fine. Although this necklace design is waterproof and is made for swimming in, the necklace can totally be worn on dry-land for a costume, cosplay, or just because you want to wear it. ♥

I encourage you to change up the color combinations of pearls, paint and gems to match your mermaid tail, Gothic Costume or siren persona. I went with the colors black, silver and purple because my Silicone Mermaid Tail is composed of those exact 3 colors.
