Respect your own time and only study opening traps that are practical!
As adult chess improvers, time is limited and efficiency of study is key to our improvement.
If we decide to use our precious time studying opening traps they should either:
1. be likely to occur in our actual games as improving adult club players
2. help us learn key ideas for improved understanding of the openings we play.
This video introduces this video series and focuses on a trap that occurs when using the London System against the Chigorin Defense- specifically when an early ..Bf5 is played.
The London System has a Wu Wei feel to it. Sit back, let your opponents do the heavy lifting and notice the consequences of their moves. Understanding goes a long way in the London System and attacks can spring forth quickly! Effortless wins are commonplace with the London System!
Key Themes:
why the chigorin defense sucks and the why the London systemis good against it
