🔹 Śukra Duṣṭi (Vitiation of Semen):
Vitiated by Doṣas, śukra may become discolored, foul-smelling, thick, thin, painful on ejaculation, delayed, obstructed, or infertile. Each doṣa produces characteristic defects affecting fertility and strength.

🔹 Ārtava Duṣṭi (Vitiation of Menstrual Blood):
Duṣṭa ārtava may present with irregular cycles, altered color, excessive pain, burning, foul odor, scanty or excessive flow, leading to gynecological disorders and infertility.

🔹 Śuddha Śukra Lakṣaṇa (Features of Pure Semen):
Crystal-clear or slightly whitish, unctuous, sweet-smelling, thick, ejaculated without pain, and capable of conception.

🔹 Śuddha Ārtava Lakṣaṇa (Features of Pure Menstrual Blood):
Regular cyclical flow, blood resembling lac juice, painless menstruation, proper quantity, and fertility-supporting nature.

🔹 Asṛgdhārā (Menorrhagia):
Excessive and continuous menstrual bleeding caused by doṣa vitiation, especially Pitta and Rakta, leading to weakness and reproductive imbalance.

🔹 Naṣṭārtava (Amenorrhea):
Absence or suppression of menstruation due to Vāta obstruction, Dhātu kṣaya, or agni disturbance.

🔹 Treatment Principles:
• Doṣa-śamana and śodhana
• Use of vajīkaraṇa and rasāyana therapies
• Proper diet, lifestyle, and reproductive discipline
• Rakta-prasādana and garbhāśaya-balancing measures

This chapter highlights Ayurveda’s holistic view of reproductive health, fertility, and healthy progeny, emphasizing purification and balance of śukra and ārtava.
