All heterodox theological systems have been unable to adequately account for God's simultaneous transcendence and immanence. At the intersection of transcendence and immanence is the Holy Orthodox doctrine known as the essence-energies distinction. This doctrine was passed down to the Holy Orthodox Church from the apostles and has been taught by the Church for 2000 years.
In this video, I explain the essence-energies distinction and demonstrate it's presence in the earliest witnesses we have to the apostolic deposit.
