Fariba’s sorrow for her daughters’ departure and her delight at Uncle Reza’s presence

Today is one of the hardest days for Fariba. She began the morning with a deep sense of sadness, knowing that her daughters would be leaving her to stay in their school dormitory. Although she understands that this is an important step for their future and progress, a mother’s heart always trembles at the thought of separation. Ever since the girls were packing their things, the house felt heavy with silence—a silence that foretold their absence until the end of the week. When the girls finally left for the dormitory, the house seemed emptier than ever. Fariba kept glancing at the door, perhaps out of habit or out of a quiet hope. Still, just when loneliness was starting to sink deeper into her heart, Uncle Reza arrived. His presence was like a calming breeze, easing some of the heaviness of the day. Uncle Reza got to work almost immediately. Without waiting for anything, he rolled up his sleeves and headed to the stable to repair the roof and prepare it for the winter cold. The sound of his hammering and walking around the yard brought a sense of life back into the home; it was as if his movement and effort pushed back the sadness lingering in the air. A little later, the Ghodrat family also came to visit Fariba, and their warm presence felt like a comforting hand resting on her tired and lonely shoulders. Being surrounded by these people, especially on a night when Fariba needed support more than ever, strengthened her heart. Although her longing for her daughters still echoed within her, the support and companionship of Uncle Reza and the Ghodrat family reassured her that she was not alone, and that difficult days become a little easier when kind people are around.
