First Ever Harvest of Ginger in KP:
The first-ever homegrown harvest of ginger in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was successfully achieved through the collaborative efforts of the Agriculture Research Department KP and the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO). The milestone event was graced by the Honorable Secretary Agriculture KP, Dr. Amber Ali Khan, as the chief guest. In his address, the Secretary Agriculture termed the experimental-based ginger harvest a significant success of Agriculture Research, highlighting its potential for crop diversification and farmers’ income enhancement. He appreciated the dedicated efforts of the Agriculture Research Department and extended his gratitude to FAO for providing vital technical and financial support, which made the successful ginger harvest in Khyber District of KP possible.The Director General Agriculture Research Dr Abdul Rauf,Director General Agriculture Extension KP Mr. Murad Ali Khan and representatives from the FAO also spoke on the occasion.
