Never in my life did I think I would have the chance to meet Hayden Christensen. I have such an affinity for Anakin Skywalker because my first name, Annika, is an anagram of his name. Anakin was one of my nicknames in high school and I honestly still respond to that name today.
The entire time I spent waiting, I was rehearsing, “Hi, my name is Annika!” over and over again in my head. I was so nervous and scared I wouldn’t be able to spit it out BUT I did it! The amusement in his eyes and the tiny smile he wore when he heard my name made it all worth it.
This day was SO special to me—I don’t think I will ever get over it.
