In this episode of Legacy of Lupin, we look at the first animated Lupin the Third movie The Mystery of Mamo. Released in 1978 during Part 2's original broadcast, this film deliberately harkened back to the tone and style of the original manga while also going in a more bizarre direction. With a memorable villain, a science-fiction edge, and a mature tone, it's certainly one of the more unique Lupin stories — and also a very divisive one within the community. What do I think of it?
