There's more than one Frankie who made Doo Wop history. In 1956, at the age of 13, Frankie Lymon recorded "Why Do Fools Fall in Love?" with his group The Teenagers. He wasn't even supposed to do it!
Their lead singer was late to the audition for producer George Goldner and Frankie stepped in. The sound was magical and it stuck! This was 6 years before The Four Seasons released "Sherry".
