Summers Afternoon Road Delays + Road Problems

This afternoon in Newcastle and surrounding areas regions because it was so very hot today, at around 2 pm when we had just got back from the pool with school, there were very very strong winds n torrential rain, blowing all over the place and sideways due to the ferocious wind. A couple of people in class peaked out, so they had to go home early. Anyway, it stopped at about 2:15pm, and started again just before 2:30pm but when it was time to go home at 2:30pm it had calmed down a bit which was good. I got in the taxi with driver Penny and passenger Dakota. Most afternoons we have to take Caleb home but he was on the other bus. Anyway, on the way home, we got caught in the traffic jam. Personally, you will see the blue garbage truck and a bit later on, there was some road workers doing some roadwork on the side of the road. I think they were cutting the trees down or trimming the branches or something so it wouldn’t cause damage. Only thing was they were doing it at an inconvenient time the were. That delayed my trip a bit, as did the fire engine at the roundabout directing our traffic probably due to Weather or something else. We were moving very slowly and at times it took forever to move so unfortunately, I could never get up close to the blue recycling clean away truck. But he was caught in the traffic too. I got home in the end but instead of taking 15 to 20 minutes to get home, it took around 37 minutes to get home. And I think another storm is on the way shortly. I would’ve liked to film the storm because it was kind of cool with the wind, but obviously I could not because I was at school and that’s okay.
