I finally got the chance to upload a video about this guy.
He was made from a 2010 Thomas with lots of modifications. The side tanks and boiler were sawed to correct length using a dremel rotary tool. Tanks were filled in with balsa wood, boiler was filled in with pieces from tomy thomas smokebox to give the correct curve, then smoothed over with Tamiya putty. Cab windows were filled in with Milliput. All the stripes and numbers were hand painted which took a lot of time. The gray paint I used was Folk art Dove Gray acrylic, after all the details were finished, he was sprayed over with a clear coat.
He runs on 2x 1.5 volts (so twice the normal voltage). And he has a Tamiya Hyper Dash 3 as motor. He is pretty damn fast.
