This message was preached on the final night of the Masbate District Youth Camp 2025.
Some who once stood with us are gone. They sang, they served, they believed.
But now they are far off—lost, wounded by sin, fooled by the world.
Luke 15 tells their story. A son leaves. A father waits.
The son fails.
The father stays faithful.
He watches the road.
He runs to meet the one who turns back.
That is the Gospel. That is God’s heart.
We must have that heart too.
Pray.
Wait.
Reach.
Do not give up.
Your friend, your brother, your leader—they are not too far gone. If the Father runs, so must we.
The house isn’t full until the lost come home.
We must be ready to welcome them, not with judgment, but with joy.
Not with suspicion, but with celebration.
May God give us the heart of the Father—steadfast, compassionate, and full of grace.
