It can take a lot of time and patience to collect seeds from flowering shrubs, and then many months to turn them into new plants. Is it worth the effort?
Plant in the video is Callistemon citrinus, the Bottle Brush plant. We normally take cuttings for new plants, but wanted to try taking two year old seed pods, gently warming them in a microwave, then allowing the pods to open and release their seeds.
