Waikuku Beach is a great spot year-round for swimming, surfing, dog-walking and mountain biking etc. It's a short walk from the carpark to the beach. Head north for about 10 mins until the sand dunes end and the Ashley River Estuary comes into view. There are numerous bird species on display. If you feel like a longer walk keep heading north until the river exits into the Ocean. See links below. Filmed 16 July 2025.
