Major Milestone: New Pipeline Secures Sarasota County’s Water Future

The Peace River Manasota Regional Water Supply Authority has officially completed Phase 3C of its interconnect pipeline, marking a major step forward in ensuring a sustainable and resilient water future for Sarasota County and beyond.

This 8-mile pipeline segment—made possible through collaboration with Sarasota County, the Southwest Florida Water Management District, and the Peace River Authority—will deliver up to 10 million gallons of water per day and positions the region for long-term growth and reduced reliance on groundwater sources.

8-mile, 42-inch diameter pipeline completed in under 2 years

Serves as an extension of the Phase 3B pipeline

Brings water transmission further north than ever before

Prepares for a future connection with Manatee County
