I spent 4 days kayaking through the Noosa Everglades with my partner over New Years Eve. The Noosa everglades if one of only two everglade systems in the world.
It's known as the river of mirrors because of how still the water can get as the kayak slices through. The nature is amazing and 40% of Australian bird species can be sighted here.
In this video you’ll see:
• Kayaking deep into the Noosa Everglades from Harrys Hut to Camp 15 and then all the way back to Elanda Point Canoe Launch over 4 days
• Camping at camp 4 along the river's edge
• Wildlife encounters and peaceful mornings
• Campsite life, cooking and pack-up routines
• Hike from camp 3 to the Cooloola Sand Patch and a peak into what the trail is like on the Cooloola Great Walk.
This kayak expedition is fully self supported bringing our own camping equipment and food. We hired the tandem kayak from Kanu Kapers in Noosa and they gave us dry bags to borrow and an esky to keep our food fresh.
