The Cheap, Knock-Off Pirates of the Caribbean Rides

There was a time when every park wanted to copy Disney and have their own version of classic Disney rides. From the Jungle Cruise, to Space Mountain, to the Universe of Energy, this occurred throughout European parks until the opening of Euro Disneyland, bringing the production of knock-off rides to a stop. However, if one ride was more influential than any other, it's definitely Pirates of the Caribbean, which inspired no less then four pirate themed boat rides and had an even larger influence on other attractions within the industry. Today, I wanted to take a look at some of these cheap copies of Pirates of the Caribbean, exploring a more obscure corner of theme park history.
