film follows the rise of one of the Pride Lands’ greatest kings. The story is framed by Rafiki, who recounts the legend of Mufasa to Kiara (the daughter of Simba and Nala), with comedic commentary from Timon and Pumbaa.
Through flashbacks, we discover that Mufasa was not born into royalty. He was an orphaned cub, lost and alone after a tragic flood, until he met Taka (the lion who would become Scar)—a sympathetic prince and heir to a royal bloodline. This chance encounter launches an epic adventure involving a group of misfits. As they journey to find a legendary paradise called Milele, their brotherhood is tested by internal rivalry and a dangerous threat from a pride of white lions led by the ruthless Kiros.
