The video features the piece I refinished during the challenge I hosted over on Instagram and at the end of the video I share the participants and the winner of the challenge. The theme I chose was Light/Dark Academia. I invited fellow furniture friends to join me and flip a piece for the challenge. They had two weeks to complete their piece. For my challenge piece I refinished this vintage burlwood campaign triple dresser by Hickory Manufacturing Company. It turned out amazing! One of the drawers was stamped May 1979.

It had some damage on one of the drawers and the top needed to be refinished. There were also two drawer pulls missing the rings.

I stripped the entire dresser, sanded through the grits, and ended up toning the piece with dye stain mixed with a topcoat. It toned down the orange undertones just enough.

I sealed it with two coats of Osmo polyx oil. For the pulls, I scoured the internet and ended up finding new pulls that I hoped would be close. I had to use my Dremel to carve out a section for the new shape of the recessed pull, which made me super nervous, but thankfully it worked!
