Ven. Geshe Lhakdor la of the Library of Tibetan Works and Archives was invited to the Tibetan Children's Villages & School (TCV) today 30 September 2025 morning, under the invitation of school SEE Learning Team headed by Principal Mrs. Tenzin Choekyi la and her Associates Gen Tenzin Ngodup la (Science Teacher) and Tsering Choedon la (Counselor). More than 40 staff members took part in the today's SEE Learning talk followed by Q&A.
Topic: How Office Staff & Nurses can Foster a Positive School Community Culture
As office staff, we play an important role in nurturing a positive school community. Ven. Geshe Lhakdor la reminded us of the practical use of the 3Hs—Head, Heart, and Hand—in our daily lives. Working in Tibetan Children’s Villages and Schools under the patronage of H.H. the Dalai Lama is truly a blessing, and with it comes responsibility.
Beyond being professionals, we are Tibetans entrusted with the preservation of our language, culture, and the wisdom of our ancient Buddhist philosophers. By practicing SEE Learning principles—living with less hatred and more compassion, kindness, and understanding—we can create an environment of harmony.
A school culture built on love and compassion not only supports students but also strengthens the whole community. As Geshe la said, we are all travelers on the highway of life; therefore, let us walk this journey wisely, kindly, and compassionately, leaving a positive impact wherever possible.
