Visit to Earthquake Victims in Bogo City, Cebu

To ensure the government’s immediate response after the 6.9-magnitude earthquake that struck the Province of Cebu, President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. leads an inspection of damaged structures in Bogo City on October 2, 2025.
The President visits the collapsed housing along All Around Street in SM Cares Village, where seven (7) individuals are reported dead and two (2) are seriously injured.
He also inspects the Archdiocesan Shrine and Parish of St. Vincent Ferrer in Barangay Bungtod and the City of Bogo Science and Arts Academy (CBSAA) in Barangay Cogon while being briefed by officials on the extent of the damages.
Furthermore, he observes the ongoing distribution of aid to earthquake victims led by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD). These include PhP10,000 in financial assistance and burial services for grieving families, hot meals through the Mobile Kitchen Program, and approximately 1,700 family food packs (FFPs) for patients admitted to Cebu Provincial Hospital – Bogo City.
Prior to today's visit, President Marcos Jr. conducted an aerial inspection of earthquake-hit areas in the Province of Cebu.
