কীভাবে যাবেন জটার দেউল :

ট্রেনে করে আসতে চাইলে শিয়ালদহ এর দক্ষিণ শাখা থেকে নামখানা লোকাল ধরে মথুরাপুর রোড স্টেশন এ নেমে সেখান থেকে অটো ,ট্রেকার বা বাসে করে আপনারা চলে আসবেন রায়দীঘি,সেখান থেকে মোটর ভ্যান বা অটো করে চলে আসুন জটার দেউল।

আর যারা বাইক বা গাড়ি করে আসবেন তারা বারুইপুর হয়ে জয়নগর রোড ধরে বিষ্ণুপুর হয়ে চলে আসবেন রায়দীঘি, রায়দীঘি ব্রিজ ক্রস করে আপনারা জটার দেউল চলে আসতে পারেন।



পাল রাজাদের অধীনস্থ সামন্ত চন্দ্রবংশের অন্যতম রাজা শ্রীচন্দ্রের প্রথম পুত্র জয়ন্ত চন্দ্র সুন্দরবনের জঙ্গলে এই মন্দিরটিকে ৯৭৫ খ্রিস্টাব্দে প্রতিষ্ঠা করেছিলেন। এটি বাংলা তথা ভারতবর্ষের প্রাচীনতম একটি রেক দেউল।
এই মন্দিরটি সাথে জড়িয়ে রয়েছে বৌদ্ধ সংস্কৃতির ইতিহাস, দক্ষিণ ভারতের চোল রাজাদের ইতিহাস, আরকান ও পর্তুগিজ জলদস্যুদের ইতিহাস। আজ থেকে ঠিক 165 বছর আগে, এ অঞ্চলের কালেক্টর সাহেব স্মিথ এই মন্দিরটি কে লক্ষ্য করে কামান দেগে ছিল, কিন্তু কেন ? সম্পূর্ণ ইতিহাসটি জানতে আমার ভিডিওটি অবশ্যই দেখুন।

The tower temple ( rekha-deul ), which is referred to as Jatar Deul is located in the stony alluvial and bushy landscape of the western Sundarbans in the Indian state of West Bengal . It belongs to a small subgroup of Bengal temples , which can be traced back to architectural suggestions from Odisha . The brick temple , which consists of only about 30 m high tower ( rekha-deul ) with internal about 3.10 × 3.10 m measuring, elevated, but windowless Cella brick temple rises on a square base area of ​​about 9.30 × 9.30 m. Noteworthy are the steep proportions that are usual for a Rekha-Deul , which are somewhat softened by several cornices above the high arched portal and vertical gradations in the upper part. A dome-shaped curvature develops the construction only in the last few meters.
