Our journey from Kyzyl Oil village to Song Kul lake was an exhilarating 180-kilometer ride. The road to the lake was quite adventurous, with mostly gravel roads leading through breathtaking scenery. We even crossed Kara-Keche Pass, which stood at an impressive 3,384 meters above sea level. Song Kul lake, perched at an elevation of 3,016 meters, is a stunning high-mountain beauty.
Upon reaching Song Kul, we had the privilege of staying in a traditional Kyrgyzztani yurt, the perfect accommodation for nomads. We had an amazing time exploring the area.
However, our adventure took an unexpected turn when one of our riders unfortunately fell down due to heavy dust and couldn’t see the speed breaker. His leg was unfortunately fractured, but we’re all doing well and looking forward to continuing our journey.
Despite this minor setback, we believe that this is just a small part of the incredible experience we’re having.
