The trombone for this piece was recorded in the west Lung at Biosphere 2 in southern Arizona. Michael Lake produced the final music and the video that highlights the bass trombone playing I did in Biosphere 2.
Because of the extremely long reverb time in the Lung, I played the phrases with a separation between them so that the notes had time to ring and dissolve a bit. The magic of the Lung structure us the close to 30 second reverb. It's the longest I've ever heard.
