✘SYNOPSIS: Before the walker infection has the chance to infect her, Judith manages to stop the spread by severing the part of her arm that was bitten. As she recovers, she quickly finds that Gracie has left the community because she noticed how Judith was struggling to come to terms with forgiving her for her past actions. But Judith has already forgiven Gracie and wants her to know that there’s still hope for her to rejoin the Alexandrian community and be a part of the rebuilding of the normal world. Whatever prejudice and hatred she has toward her (and Negan) are on her to deal with, as they are her own demons to battle for the rest of her life as she gets back to normal. As she tries to convince Gracie to come back, she remarks on the loved ones she’s lost and her regrets, like the frail relationship between her and her father after the Savior war. She doesn’t want the same thing to happen to her and Gracie. However, before Gracie can decide to listen to Judith and return to her home, she is attacked and infected by a walker no one has ever encountered before—an enhanced, mutated version of a walker that is ten times more aggressive and conscious. Judith finally finds Gracie, but she finds her mid transformation. Although she knows her father would want her to put Gracie down to save her and her people from a completely new threat, Judith can’t find it in herself to lose anyone else she cares for and allows Gracie to complete the transformation. Now she and Gracie will have to learn how to control her new hunger for flesh, and learn how to explore the world now that they are one step further from normalcy.
