When taking apart and rebuilding your pump lower, this video (as well as the manual) will help you make the process go smoother. A Graco instructional trainer walks you through the Xtreme lower and some tips for changing out wear parts.
To begin disassembly,
1. Start with the foot valve and take off before pulling out the ball
2. Loosen throat packing and take out the rod
3. Unscrew packing on the rod and check out ball
4. Place seals and ball back in before screwing back onto the rod
5. Unscrew throat packing and push out packing
6. Take off cylinder
7. Take apart the filter housing
To begin Reassembly,
1. Replace filter back in place
2. Assemble throat packings by placing wave spring into the male gland before placing into housing
3. Screw in top part
4. Install into top part of the housing
5. Screw in barrel into the housing
6. Put pin back into the hole to lock it into place
7. Take the rod and bring it through the bottle into the throat seals
8. Reassemble of the inlet
