Chico the Gunfighter: An Experimental F-4E & A Forgotten Mission!

The story of Chico the Gunfighter Circulated around many aviation publications in the early 2000's due to her depiction in Aviation Artist Wade Myers' Painting of the same name Chico the Gunfighter which you can view here: https://www.wademeyersstudios.com/wor...

However her story has really faded into obscurity once again and after reading the story of Chico as a kid, it was always stood out to me, because it isn't a sexy tale of chasing MiGs through Route Packs V or VI but rather a practical experiment on how to stem the tide of NVA forces overrunning the South during the Easter Offensive
