Hey there Read Aloud Adventurers! Welcome back! Today in our read aloud story, our main character, Lion, tries SO hard to get his hairstyle JUST RIGHT for a party! Lion did not like the look of his hair. He thought it looked horrible! But curling it, changing its color or adding fancy ribbons did not make his friends like him more...In fact, they preferred him the best without anything in his hair....when he was just himself! Sometimes people want to change the way they look. They buy products, change their clothes, color their hair because they want to look like the people they see on tv, or in fashion magazines or ads. But most people in the world do not look like the models in the media. Everyone is made different and looks different. We shouldn’t try to look like someone else. We should always just be ourselves, like Lion realized at the end of the book! Remember, it’s very important to have a positive body image of yourself....that means we all need to learn how to LOVE OURSELVES, just the way we are!!!!
