The story revolves around the events beyond KH3 where Riku had managed to successfully get Sora back home to the Destiny Islands. But in the midst of everything, had received a fatal wound on his side, which he tried to conceal from Sora. He successfully manages to get Sora back home, but collapses from loss of blood and extreme exhaustion. The scene shows Riku’s final moments as he slowly succumbs, warmly embraced in the loving arms of his best friend.
