In this video, we explore the three main types of soil — clay, sandy, and loam — and why loam soil is the best for farming.
Loam has the perfect balance: it holds water, drains well, is soft and crumbly, and is naturally rich in nutrients. It’s every farmer’s dream soil. 🌿
But not everyone starts with good soil.
Some soil is dry, white, and lifeless — the kind that water just runs off.
But where there's a will, there's a way.
For over 40 years, my dad has prepared the land using kraal manure — cow manure that he collects daily, dries until it turns bluish, and then works into the soil. This simple traditional method has transformed our land into rich, healthy soil that grows strong crops season after season.
