Fredrik Carlquist -clarinet and effect pedal & Nils Bondesson perform "Jag Vet en Dejlig Rosa" on the 15th of August 2024 in Klosterkyrkan in Lund, Sweden. This is a traditional Scandinavian song with origen from the 17th century here in an arrangement by Carlquist. This song was made famous by the Swedish singer Monica Zetterlund in a recording with the Bill Evans trio in 1964. Carlquist performed and recorded with Zetterlund in the 90-ties.
Carlquist and Bondesson perform under the band name "New Art Deco Band" both in duo and with a rhythm section. The repertoire consists of mainly original music that reflects early jazz and ragtime blended with folk music and influences from modernistic classical music.
