Dyson Sphere

A Dyson sphere is a theoretical megastructure that an advanced civilization might build to completely or partially encompass a star to capture its entire energy output. The core idea is that as a technological civilization grows, its energy needs would eventually surpass the resources available on its home planet. By building structures around its star, a civilization could access nearly a billion times more energy than is available on an orbiting planet's surface. The intermediate phase of building it is the so-called Dyson Swarm considered the most feasible design. It consists of a vast number of independent habitats, solar panels, and collectors orbiting the star in a dense, spherical formation. This modular approach allows for gradual construction and easier maintenance.
