Mercedes-Benz C-Class DTM "D2"(1994) driven by Bernd Schneider - Two 90s Legends at Monza Racetrack!

What you see in action is the 1994 Mercedes-Benz C-Class DTM driven by Bernd Schneider, five-time Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters champion who won his first title in 1995 with the W202 model. After 22 years, on the Monza track, two DTM legends, the 1994 Alfa Romeo 155 V6 Ti driven by Nicola Larini and this Mercedes driven by Bernd Schneider took the track again! Both champions of the DTM's golden era have covered 3 laps in parade bringing tribute to two great car brands that have written unforgettable motorsport pages. Specifically, the C-Class is equipped with a 2.499cc engine (152.5 cu in) M106 V6 90° naturally aspirated engine, not very heavy, only 110Kg thanks to the use of a lot of light alloys. Front, longitudinally mounted, it develops a power of 400hp (298 KW) at 11.500 rpm and a torque of 300 Nm (221 ft-lbs) at 9.000 rpm. The body is mainly made of carbon fiber, adopts a 6-speed sequential gearbox and traction is on the rear wheels. Reduced the weight, only 980 Kg (2160.5 lbs).

Quella che vedete in azione è la Mercedes-Benz C-Class DTM del 1994 guidata proprio da Bernd Schneider, 5 volte campione del Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters che nel 1995 con il modello W202 si è aggiudicato il suo primo titolo. Dopo 22 anni sulla pista di Monza di sono riunite due leggende del DTM, l'Alfa Romeo 155 V6 Ti del 1994 guidata da Nicola Larini e questa Mercedes pilotata per l'appunto da Bernd Schneider. Entrambi i campioni dell'epoca d'oro del DTM hanno percorso 3 giri in parata portanto tributo a due grandi marchi automobilistici che hanno scritto pagine indimenticabili del motorsport. Nello specifico la Classe C monta un motore V6 90° aspirato da 2.499cc (152.5 cu in) sigla M106 poco pesante, solamente 110Kg grazie all'impiego di molta lega leggera. Montato anteriormente in modo longitudinale, sviluppa una potenza di 400cv (298 KW) ad 11.500 giri/min ed una coppia di 300 Nm (221 ft lbs) a 9.000 rpm. La carrozzeria è principalmente in fibra di carbonio, adotta un cambio sequenziale a 6 marce e la trazione è alle ruote posteriori. Ridotto il peso, solamente 980 Kg (2160.5 lbs)
