Hohe Tauern - Hochalmspitze (3.360m) via Steinerne Mandln

Challenging high alpine tour to the queen of the High Tauern, the highest summit of the Ankogel group - Hochalmspitze (3.360m).
We climbed from the Giessener Hut (2.225m) via Steinerne Mandln.
We descended via Detmolder Grat (via ferrata grade C).
The length of the tour to the summit via Steinerne Mandln is 4.4 kilometers and the height difference is 1,174 meters.
In the final part, before climbing to the vertical wall of Steinerne Mandln, the glacier is very steep, about 50 degrees. The ridge from this side towards the summit is secured with steel rope (via ferrata) in several places, but there are also exposed details without protection.
The total length of the tour from Giessner Hut and back is 10.5 kilometers.
From the Giessner Hut to the Gosskarspeicher parking lot is 3.4 kilometers and 560 meters of height difference.
Winter equipment and via ferrata set are required for the tour.

Izazovna visokogorska tura do kraljice Visokih Tura, najvišeg vrha grupe Ankogel - Hochalmspitze (3.360m).
Popeli smo se od Giessener Hut (2.225m) preko Steinerne Mandln.
Sišli smo preko Detmolder Grata (ferrata ocjene C).
Dužina ture do vrha preko Steinerne Mandln je 4,4 kilometra, a visinska razlika je 1174 metra.
U završnom dijelu, prije uspona na okomiti zid Steinerne Mandln, ledenjak je vrlo strm, oko 50 stupnjeva. Greben je s ove strane prema vrhu na nekoliko mjesta osiguran čeličnim užetom (via ferrata), ali ima i izloženih detalja bez zaštite.
Ukupna duljina ture od Giessner Hut i natrag je 10,5 kilometara.
Od planinarskog doma Giessner Hut do parkirališta Gosskarspeicher ima 3,4 kilometra i 560 metara visinske razlike.
Za turu je potrebna zimska oprema i via ferrata set.
