A pair of robins built a nest in a Ficus tree just outside the window of my home office. I set up a GoPro in the tree to be able to watch their progress.
After 12 days of Mama sitting on three colorful eggs, all three babies hatched from their eggs. Two days later, I shot this video of both Mom and Dad feeding the babies.
It's interesting how when the female Robin arrived with a worm, she signaled the male with a signal chirp that it was time for him to leave. A little later, if you turn your sound way up, or put on a pair of headphones, you'll hear Mama Robin try to wake the babies up by chirping. The babies chirp at a couple of different points in the video, too... but it's very soft, and you'll probably need headphones to hear that.
These babies are only two days old, so I think it's very likely that I'll shoot more video of them over the next couple of weeks. If I get lucky, I might just catch them at the big moment when -- one by one -- each of the babies gets brave enough to finally jump out of the nest. Learning to fly takes a few days... leaving the nest is more of a controlled crash!

Also, at the end of this video, I'll put a link on the screen that you can click on to watch a video I shot four years ago that shows a previous brood of Robins growing up.
