On 13 November 2025, EFTA and EU ministers and high-level representatives convened at the annual EFTA ECOFIN meeting.
Daði Már Kristófersson, Minister of Finance and Economic Affairs of Iceland, highlights the importance of meeting at a high level to strengthen the bond between like-minded countries, and of working together to fight protectionism and isolationism.
This annual meeting, held on the margins of the EU Council of Finance and Economic Affairs, is a forum for EFTA and EU Ministers of Finance and Economy to discuss common economic issues. The meeting was chaired by Stephanie Lose, Minister for Economic Affairs of Denmark, which currently holds the Presidency of the Council of the European Union.
