4 ROUTINES ARTISTRY ANALYSIS WITH EXPLANATIONS | 3rd JWCh Sofia 2025

This is my second and last video about JWCh! 🥳 For this video, I had the pleasure to work with my friend judge from Spain, so the A2 scores you see are from them! 🥰
By the way, sorry for having you wait that much after these 4 exercises’ Difficulty analysis, but, you know, it’s summer time for everyone! 🤪

📌 Now, here is a couple comments (in short, so please make sure you refer to the Code of Points) and guidelines on how to understand Artistry judging:

🔹Character and guiding idea: in order to make Artistry scoring as objective as possible, the TC for this cycle has decided that our CoP refers to “parts”, that are sequences of 2-4 Difficulties and the connections between them OR a Dance Steps combination, all of which must be shown with distinctive Character details (e.g. DB with detail + connection with detail + DA with detail is a part with Character, but not connection + DB + connection, as it should always be a sequence of minimum 2 Dofficulties). The details can be shown at the beginning, during or exiting the Difficulties. See pages 103-105 for choice of deductions between 0.0, 0.3, 0.6 and 1.0;

🔸 Body Expression: achieved through ample participation of all body segments. If fully developed during the majority of the exercise, then no deduction. If minimum 2 parts (see Character for reference) present full participation AND fewer than 4 isolated moments (outside of technical elements) have rigid segments (no participation at all), then we have - 0.30; if fewer than 2 parts have complete participation OR more than 4 moments have inexistent participation, then - 0.60;

🔹 Face Expression: minimum 2 parts with full involvement + less than 4 isolated moments with concentrated face = no deduction. If fewer than 2 parts OR more than 4 moments with completely blank face, then - 0.30;

🔸 Dynamic Changes and Effects: a Dynamic Change is achieved by showing a clear contrast (either immediately or gradually or with movements in contrast with the actual pace of the music) from one part to the other or with a gradual change within one part, in accordance with changes of rhythm/volume in the music. Effects are the union of special, impactful movements with perfect timing with an outstanding music accent(s) or a simple pose/use of the apparatus with an outstanding musical moment. Minimum 2 DC, or 1 DC and 1 E, or 2 E (0.30 for each missing);

🔸 Aspects not penalized in this video: for Dance Steps, use of the floor area, music norms, interruption of continuity, lack of harmony - see the CoP
