Now, this isn't something I usually make -- it's not supernatural, it's a short version of a song, it's one episode based -- but here it is.

I was incredibly moved by the mosaic montage in The Magician's "A Life in The Day." The story was magnificent and moving, in a way I haven't felt in a while. On top of that, it wasn't just any moving story.

It was a long, emotional relationship/romance/love story between two men (an a woman too for a while). It was an "OMG" moment to see that for once, the romantic vibes I was picking up on between two same-gender characters was not a path to nowhere. I was not "seeing things" as are so often the words thrown at people who dare see non-heteronormative relationship possibilities within characters.

It was natural, the chemistry has been there for a long time, and it was on par with a story I would expect for a heterosexual couple.

And I have not been able to get it out of my head. It meant so much to me to see this sort of relationship, these sorts of non-het characters on one of my favorite tv shows. Representation matters.

Anyway, this edit is a way for me to process my feelings surrounding this episode. I hope this event is mentioned/processed on the show by Eliot and Quentin and not glossed over. I believe that even if they are never together again in a romantic way, that they still will occupy an important and close place in each others' lives.
