This video explains how to setup and use the plugin BuffBars in the game The Lord of the Rings Online. It is not a tutorial which explains how to download and install plugins, it is intended to demonstrate the setup and use of BuffBars only. The video covers basic setup to track the player character's own buffs and debuffs, and advanced setup for tracking curable debuffs and using the BuffBars custom quickslot bar for easy debuff removal.
BuffBars may be downloaded from lotrointerface.com, the safest place to get LOTRO plugins and skins. Note that you must download the base plugin plus 3 patches and the patches must all be installed in the correct order. This is the order in which you should download and install the plugin and its patches:
https://www.lotrointerface.com/downlo...
https://www.lotrointerface.com/downlo...

https://www.lotrointerface.com/downlo...
You can also download the fully patched-up version from my Dropbox:

If you use the third-party application Plugin Compendium to install and update your LOTRO plugins, it will not properly install all the patch files required for BuffBars. Plugin Compendium is great! But it is not good at handling plugins which require patches to work. So install BuffBars and its patches manually, either piecemeal from lotrointerface.com or the fully-patched version from my Dropbox account.
If you like my UI layout, here is a link to the .layout file:
https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/3wdfwx...
Download it, unzip, drop it into your ~/Documents/The Lord of the Rings Online/ui/layouts folder, then use this chat command in-game to load it into your character:
/ui layout load hammer001
This layout file is optimized for a resolution of 2048x1152 but should be usable by a fairly wide range of resolutions with the main adjustment needed being a resizing and repositioning of the chat box. You can make adjustments to other UI elements by unlocking your UI and moving things around with your mouse to suit your personal preferences. Then save your own .layout file to load into your other characters by using the chat command:
/ui layout save filename
You can use any file name you like but you should keep it simple.
This video was created on a Mac booting MacOS 15.5 running LOTRO using a commercial version of WINE known as Crossover (v25.0.1). This video was recorded with the Jack screen capture application on a 4k (3840x2160) monitor set for 2048x1152 with the game in Full Screen Windowed Mode and all graphics settings at maximum (except Antialiasing at 4x and Anisotropic Filtering at 4). If you have a Mac and wish to run LOTRO, there are a number of different ways to do so and most of them are free. Read more here:
