How convincingly Dutch do you want it? Hiking around Heerewaarden, a village wedged between the rivers Waal and Maas. Picturesque dikes, riverviews, orchards and the remains of two old forts. A few old cannon. A air guard tower from the Cold War. A little Info about the Romans and Batavians once in this area. And oh yes - a Dutch chicken eating cheese of course?
In short - a 19,8 km with lots of history. And in glorious weather too!
As usual, some route information added.
