Kingdom Marriage Prayer

Heavenly Father, full of love for you and your presence I come before you now with this sincere and heartfelt prayer. I am knocking now on heaven’s door; will you open me? I call upon your name that you may receive my honest prayer in faith and listen to the plea I make before your throne.
Lord, I trust you with all my heart that you picked the right person to be my godly ordained spouse. I trust you, Lord, that you have purposed this covenant according to your will. I ask you, Lord, that you will bring us together in due time. For when the time is right, you, my Lord, will make it happen. Thank you, Father, for all the preparation I have undergone so far. Thank you for your purposeful and intentional procedure. Even if it seems slow sometimes, I know that it’s ultimately for the highest good. I understand that perceived delay doesn’t mean denial. I understand that perceived delay often means redirection and protection, but never rejection. I promise you that I will neither rush the process nor manipulate it nor force anything that’s not meant to happen. I trust fully in your divine timing and in the meantime I want to prepare myself as best as possible. I’m not going to sit there waiting with an idle mind and idle hands. Even in the waiting period I am always keeping your commandments and never stop being faithful to you. You are not a man that you should lie, and I hold on to the marriage promise you have been whispering to me.
O Lord, you are the best matchmaker, and I lay every desire, expectation and anticipation in your hands to be fulfilled. Lord, I entrust you with my heart and I know that my heart is safe in your hands. Let your unconditional love for me be reflected by both divine counterparts in this covenant marriage. Fill us with an insatiable longing and passion for your presence. For you, Lord, will always be the center of this marriage. Let the path of both partners intertwine in your perfect order, so that your will can be exhibited through our expression of love. I vow, o Lord, to keep every commandment concerning my marriage and to hold on to fidelity even in difficult times. Nothing will be able to separate the two of us, because a cord of three strands is not quickly broken. Now Lord, I thank you for entrusting me with a covenant love such as this. I align myself fully with your will and I say “yes, I do” before your wedding altar. In Jesus’ mighty name I pray. Amen.
