Hong Kong Disneyland | Momentous (Premiere Version)

Originally planned to debut during Hong Kong Disneyland’s 15th anniversary, “Momentous” would the the second-ever nighttime, multimedia spectacular at the resort. This beloved show would officially debut in June of 2022 and would invite guests to reflect on the past, present, and future through the lens of beloved Disney stories. Now relive the magic with the full soundtrack to the most magical show on earth!



Fun Facts:
When the show was first announced, the original name was “Cherish the Memories.”

Although this show replaces the former “Disney in the Stars” nighttime spectacular, this show is also replacing the limited-time Main Street projection show “We Love Mickey!”

This show was slated to open along side “Follow Your Dreams” during the park’s 15th anniversary in 2020, but was delayed due to the pandemic.

This show draws a lot of inspiration from Walt Disney World’s nighttime spectaculars: Happily Every After and Disney Enchantment.

Disney Animation created brand new animations for this show and can be seen on the castle and water screen.

Just like other Disney parks around the world, HKDL added World of Color-style fountains in the new castle moat during the construction of the Castle of Magical Dreams. However, the smaller 360° fountains that were teased in concept art did not make the final cut.

On the topic of World of Color, the Dr. Facilier scene was a recycled scene from the original planned version of World of Color (not WOC: Villainous).

The show utilizes the 15th anniversary theme song “Love the Memory” as its main theme and was recorded using a full orchestra.

This is the first full-English show that the park has ever presented.

Although Main Street is equipped with projectors, Disney did not add projection mapping on the building facades for this show originally. Projections were finally added in 2025 in honor of the park’s 20th anniversary.

The 20th anniversary of the resort debuted a special version of this show titled “Momentous: Party in the Night Sky!”
