Sie ist die fünftgrößte Stadt der Europäischen Union, die zehntgrößte Stadt Europas und die 191. größte Stadt der Welt. Im Großraum Wien leben etwa 3 Millionen Menschen – das entspricht rund einem Drittel der österreichischen Gesamtbevölkerung.
