In June 2021, MAF flew a health patrol from Kompiam Hospital to Malaumanda.
The village has two community health workers that are helping the community with what they can during the weeks on a volunteer basis. During these patrol days they helped translating the local language when examining patients and at the same time received extra training on the job from the doctors during the clinic work. The team vaccinated children, diagnosed the patients and did health awareness both in the school and among the villagers. MAF fly additional medical teams to Malaumanda 2-4 times a year.
