Perennials allow a gardener to share their plants. Almost all perennials in my garden multiply which may need dividing and when the time happens to help promote better growth and bloom we share these plants. And here are a few today!
Ostrich fern: zone 3-7, shade to part sun and sun, well drained soil , add compost yearly, height 2-3 feet ,and grow from rhizomes. And be container grown.
Japanese painted fern: zone in 4-7 , full to partial shade and mine will acclamate to sun😉, well drained soil composted , clump forming. Not a fussy plant.
Lambs ear(stachys byzantina): zone 4-9, full to partial sun, drought resistant, deer resistant, no fertilization needed, compost once yearly, flower spikes in summer which I remove to give a neater appearance but pollinators love the blooms so i leave a few. Plant this one and forget it!! Lovely bluish soft leaves with a nice minty scent!
Sue , from the backwaters of the Ohio river gardener 😉, brought me yellow Siberian iris and snowdrops to plant . So fun gardening with other gardeners_-. Thank you Sue ooop no never thank a person who shared plant😱could be bad luck!!!!
Spring is here the next 10 days I see no 30 degree temps Yipee!!!!
