I was fortunate enough to speak to the esteemed Professor Emeritus of the University of the West Indies (Mona, Jamaica), Dr Carolyn Cooper, whilst she was in London.
Dr Cooper is a woman who is heavily requested and invited to talks - normally focused on the culture of Jamaica and Reggae music - all around the world, throughout the year, so I was very fortunate to get time to speak to her especially when she could’ve been indoors with her family and friends on what was a very cold day in London.
She is a person who is a warm individual, very wise and a great speaker.
I took this opportunity to speak on a number of topics such as music, language, literature, colourism and even family structures...
I hope you enjoy the interview as much as I did
