In Dr. Erickson's office is a famous lithograph of Charcot, a French neurologist and professor, in Paris demonstrating hypnosis. At the time, hypnosis was viewed as more of a hysterical manifestation. A copy of this lithograph can also be found in the Freud Museum in London, where it's placed above Freud's couch.
