From Gambia to Germany

Join us on an emotional journey as we prepare to bid farewell to The Gambia, Africa. Our family, consisting of my husband, our two kids, and myself, is leaving through Banjul International Airport in Yundum. Our flight itinerary takes us from Banjul to Munich with a layover in Brussels. As we board the plane, we can't help but feel a mix of sadness and excitement for the new chapter that awaits us.

Leaving the warm climate of The Gambia behind, we brace ourselves for the cold weather in Munich. With winter jackets packed in our luggage, we are ready to face the chilly temperatures of our destination. The contrast in climate only adds to the bittersweetness of our departure.

During our layover in Brussels, we take the opportunity to explore the airport and sample some delicious local cuisine.

Upon landing in Munich, we can't help but feel a rush of familiarity and anticipation. Kebab and turkish delights .As we step foot in the city, the cold breeze greets us, reaffirming that winter has truly arrived. We gather our belongings and make our way to the train station, ready to embark on the final leg of our journey.

As the train pulls out of the station, we find ourselves reflecting on the experiences we had in The Gambia. The memories of the warm-hearted people, delectable local cuisine, and the picturesque beaches flood our minds. While we will undoubtedly miss these aspects of our time in Africa, we also feel a sense of contentment knowing that we are returning to our home, our bed, and our kitchen.

With mixed emotions of sadness and happiness, we arrive at our destination, our familiar abode. The comfort of our own space and the warmth of our loved ones await us. We unpack our bags, reflecting on the incredible journey we've had, and begin to settle back into our daily routine.

Leaving The Gambia marks the end of an unforgettable chapter in our lives. While we will miss the people, the flavors, and the beach, we are grateful for the experiences and memories we have gained. As we step through our front door, we embrace the next chapter, cherishing the familiarity and comfort of our home, our bed, and our kitchen.
