Discover the newly unveiled Olympia Murdok. tailored for the world of enduro riding
Welcome to our channel where today we're diving into the exciting world of electric mountain bikes with the newly unveiled Olympia Murdok. This e-MTB is not just any bike; it's a marvel of modern engineering and design, tailored for the adrenaline-pumping world of enduro riding.
The Olympia Murdok was first seen as a prototype last year and has finally been launched in its final form at the 2024 Bike Festival. Crafted with a Toray T800 monocoque carbon fiber frame, this bike is both lightweight and durable, a necessity for the rugged demands of trail riding.
One of the standout features of the Murdok is its impressive suspension system. It boasts a quadrilateral scheme with a Horst link at the rear, providing a whopping 180 mm of travel. This setup allows for variable leverage ratios, making the suspension more sensitive at the beginning of the stroke—enhancing the rider's confidence and control—while becoming more progressive towards the end of the stroke.
The heart of the Olympia Murdok is its new 820 Wh Olympia Powerslim 8 battery, paired with the Polini E-P3+ MX Evo motor. This combination promises not only great power but also impressive range, perfect for longer rides where you don't want to worry about running out of juice.
Let's talk geometry. The Murdok is available in three sizes—S/M, M/L, and L/XL—and features an aggressive stance with a 63.5-degree head angle and a 77.7-degree seat tube angle in size M/L. This geometry ensures a bike that's nimble on tight trails yet stable at high speeds.
For those who are curious about customization, the Murdok comes with a flip-chip at the shock mount to adjust the geometry. Wheel sizes are a mix of 29 inches at the front and 27.5 inches at the rear, optimizing both rolling efficiency and maneuverability.
Now, regarding pricing, the Murdok sits at €7930, and it weighs just over 23 kg. This might seem a bit on the higher side, but given its features and capabilities, it represents a solid investment for serious enthusiasts.
For those interested in its sibling, the Olympia Nitro also shares many features with the Murdok but opts for a slightly different suspension setup and geometry, tailored more towards versatility.
Whether you're a seasoned enduro racer or a trail enthusiast looking to upgrade to an electric model, the Olympia Murdok promises to elevate your riding experience.
